Because of the high demand of the industry to cover areas that require more specialized training in administrative and executive levels, the Asociaci\u00f3n de la Industria Maquiladora y de Exportaci\u00f3n (INDEX) Tijuana and the Technological Institute of Tijuana conducted the signing of a cooperation agreement that will allow to solve the demand for engineers and professionals in the region. This seeks to offer master\u2019s degrees that are focused more on industry and have more relationship with\u00a0\u00a0the academy to promote mutual exchange.<\/p>\n
Although Baja California is considered to have a qualified workforce and second in job creation, we find that there is still a backlog of about 12,000 professionals mainly in the engineering areas,\u00a0\u00a0on the other hand the director of ITT mentions that the education sector has been unable to meet the demand for engineers that the industry requires.<\/p>\n
With this, the agreement is aimed at linking the education sector with various companies, this will provide better jobs for young people improving curricula and offering more study programs.<\/p>\n
For this ITT currently has over 20 career plans mostly in the engineering area and postgraduates, recording a total of 8,918 students at the time, there\u2019s plans to increase it to 9500 in August.<\/p>\n
With this, Tijuana will benefit, seeking to be a more competitive city, with their high quality manufacturing, job development for locals, education and technology.<\/p>\n
