Por tipo de tecnol\u00f3gica de generaci\u00f3n empleada hay cuatro centrales geotermoel\u00e9ctricas, tres centrales de turbo gas, una de ciclo combinado y una de vapor.<\/p>\n<p>Hay en el estado de Baja California un total de 28 unidades de generaci\u00f3n, de estas 13 unidades son centrales geotermoel\u00e9ctricas, 7 pertenecen a las centrales de turbo gas y 6 a la central de vapor, la \u00fanica que opera en la entidad. Debido a la entrada en operaci\u00f3n del parque e\u00f3lico de la rumorosa la capacidad instalada aumento en 10 MW en la central de ciclo combinado.<\/p>\n<p>Las plantas, l\u00edneas de transmisi\u00f3n y subestaciones se distribuyen en dos \u00e1reas, la zona costa, localizada en la regi\u00f3n Tijuana-Rosarito y la zona valle localizada en Mexicali, dicha red est\u00e1 conectada a California mediante estas dos l\u00edneas.<\/p>\n<p>La capacidad de generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda en Baja California es de un poco m\u00e1s de 3,000 MW tanto en servicios p\u00fablicos como privados.<\/p>\n<p>El crecimiento de la capacidad el\u00e9ctrica instalada ha utilizado gas natural como combustible; esto ocasiono una sustituci\u00f3n en la fuente geot\u00e9rmica, dicha fuente representaba el 75% de la capacidad instalada, en 1990, actualmente representa el solamente el 27%. Las unidades de ciclo combinado operando con gas natural ya representan el 48% de la capacidad instalada.<\/p>\n<p>En el estado hay dos centros principales de producci\u00f3n de electricidad, la \u201cTermoel\u00e9ctrica Central Presidente Ju\u00e1rez\u201d localizada en rosarito, y la \u201cGeot\u00e9rmica Central Cerro Prieto\u201d localizada en Mexicali.<\/p>\n<p>Gracias a su localizaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica Baja California se encuentra en un \u00e1rea estrat\u00e9gica, el estado est\u00e1 afiliado al mercado de energ\u00eda de \u201cWestern System Council Coordinator\u201d el cual esta interconectado con el sistema de la uni\u00f3n americana a trav\u00e9s de dos conexiones de 230 KW localizadas en las ciudades de Tijuana Y Mexicali.<\/p>\n<p>Tijuana se provee de electricidad mediante la planta geot\u00e9rmica de Mexicali y la planta termoel\u00e9ctrica playas de Rosarito. El cargo de energ\u00eda se da por Kilowatts por hora KW\/h y var\u00eda en base a los tipos de tarifas elegidos y el consumo.<\/p>\n<p>Para que las empresas obtengan mayor ventaja de estas tarifas, es necesario que programen sus horas de trabajo, lo que quiere decir que la empresa debe cambiar algunas horas picos por horas base o intermedias en el horario regular de trabajo. Con dicho horario se puede evitar el uso excesivo de luces prendidas y maquinaria que no es de uso necesario, lo cual significa una importante reducci\u00f3n en los costos de operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Con la iniciativa de la reforma energ\u00e9tica en el pa\u00eds se anticipan beneficios directos en las finanzas de las empresas, debido a que cuando existe una mayor competencia y diversidad de fuentes generadoras, los recibos de luz ser\u00e1n m\u00e1s baratos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La infraestructura el\u00e9ctrica de Baja California se compone de nueve centrales generadoras y 28 unidades de generaci\u00f3n.
