Industrial boom in Tijuana

Posted on Share on:

Jorge Alberto Godinez Cardenas President of the Tijuana industrial Human Resources Association (ARHITAC in Spanish), during his last outcome report, considers that the Tijuana industry sector “is going through a very significant economic boom”

During his last report, he informed that during the next trimester 37 thousand openings will be offered for the operations and manufacturing areas. Of which 27 thousand of these were recently created, this is thanks to the arrival of new companies to the city, as well as the existing company’s expansion.

The industrial sector of Tijuana is not only going through a period of expansion, it also has one of the highest wages in the region, between 112 and 125 pesos a day, added to this are the bonuses and added benefits that the companies usually give out.

Recently it was announced that some companies in the region will benefit from cheaper prices compared to the light power commission (CFE in Spanish), this thanks to an agreement between a private company and the state government.
