New software development center in tijuana

The state of Baja California, specifically the city of Tijuana, was chosen by the Samsung Company to establish a new development center for digital content. This will bring a solid investment of US $17 million dollars, this investment will be used to boost the current pilot program of software development and creative contents.

The Samsung Research Tijuana is the center where the pilot program will be carried out, this center will be treated as a business unit, additional to the already undergoing television fabrication business. Francisco Vega, state governor highlighted that some of the benefits of this decision, is that the project will provide important exposure to Baja California in the field of information and software technologies as well as development. To this statement he added that there will be reinforcement in the alliances with the local academic institutions to plan the development of new educational plans to cover the rising need of professionals.
