Parque Industrial Pacífico
Parque Industrial Pacífico, located in Tijuana, is one of the biggest industrial parks in the city, with more than 1,000 acres dedicated not only to industry but also to commerce. The park benefits thanks to its easy access to the road that connects Tijuana to the city of Ensenada, making product shipments easier from the industrial park to the Ensenada port or vice versa and it also has easy access to the border crossing.
With the growth of the factory(maquilas) program in Mexico, there was an obvious necessity to create a new industrial park at a large scale and for it to be perfectly planned. As a result of that need, Parque Industrial Pacifico was created minutes from the international border. The result was the largest and most ambitious industrial development in the city.
Around 60 companies have chosen Parque Industrial Pacifico because of the previously mentioned reasons, some of which are Zodiac Aero Space, Sohnen, Eaton, Pentel and Encore. The majority of these companies have trusted Atisa to construct their industrial building. Parque Industrial Pacifico currently has 27 lots between 5,000 square meters and 30,000 square meters available.
Parque Industrial Pacifico also has 2 commercial plazas, Centro Comercial Pacifico and Plaza Pacifico, with establishments like Carl’s Jr, Subway, GS, Cinemex, Soriana, Calimax, Banorte, among others. It also has three daycares in which the workers can leave their children while they work. There is also a residential area within the park called Terrazas del Pacifico that houses 12 condominiums for those that want to live near the industrial park.
Parque Industrial Pacifico was recognized as the best industrial park in Tijuana and was given an award for its excellence in design and construction. This honor was given by the department of urban development and ecology (Secretaría de Desarrollo Urbano y Ecología) which means the excellence in planning and execution.
