Ribbon Cutting for Coral – A “Smaller” Industrial Building

Posted on Share on:

On October 2, 2018, Atisa held a brief, 45-minute ribbon-cutting ceremony for the latest of their manufacturing buildings.  We are on an ambitious schedule, and this building is the 2nd of five industrial buildings scheduled to be ready by the end of the year. A notable feature of this new building is that it is the only Class A building of its size in all of Tijuana.  Even with a size of 28,690 sq ft, the building features 28’ clearance height with 100% natural lighting via skylights.  The building is located on an impressive land area of 51,545 square feet.

The Director of Sales and Marketing, Rick Chatham, opened the ceremony by welcoming our guests and pointing out some details about the building. The building includes 26,387 square feet of production space and 2,173 square feet of office space. There are 3 docks and 22 parking spaces. As is true with Atisa buildings, modifications can tailor the building to just about any operation. The entrance contains a security booth.

Rick gave an update on the just-completed trade negotiations and agreement including the U.S., Mexico, and Canada (USMCA). This agreement is set to replace NAFTA, which was originally signed 25 years ago.

Real Estate Director, Rafael Martinez spoke briefly about the future of Parque Industrial Pacifico, Atisa’s manufacturing park. Our company continues to pursue aggressive growth plans, with at least 3 more buildings opening this year.  A new road improvement program has also begun, which will upgrade all roads with the park.

Finally, CEO Christian Carrillo spoke about upcoming opportunities for the company.  He highlighted Atisa’s participation in the SIOR Fall Conference (Denver) next week. The booth will feature an assortment of high visibility products (Plantronics headsets, Fender Guitar, Toyota Tacoma) that are all made right here in Tijuana.  All those products will be given away at the end of the show, creating one of the biggest giveaways that the conference has ever seen.

Guests were guided outside for the traditional ribbon cutting and group photo.

The event ended with a giveaway including wine from the Guadalupe Valley and an iPad.
