Tijuana’s custom services attend industry necessities
Jorge Fernando Boy Espinosa, head of customs office in Tijuana, implemented a program called ” conoce a tu usuario ” which began to be implemented in August, the program aims to meet the needs, processes and services requested by users.
The president of INDEX (Association of Maquiladora Industry and Export) Tijuana, pointed out that thanks to this program, new services, and benefits and projects will be announced. These will be aligned to the work plan which includes five strategic pillars, with the aim of achieving an intelligent, clear customs that gives greater value to the logistics process, competitiveness, and cooperation.
The purpose of the program is to visit the facilities of the participating companies, during visits, their representatives will present the processes carried out to the customs administrator and his team, focusing on those where customs services involved, aimed at determining the potential areas of opportunity intended to improve the private sector and government.
“Prime Wheel Mexico”, “Foxconn Baja California”, “Mexican Kyocera” and “NOA of Mexico (NYPRO) were some of the leading companies in the maquiladora industry were already visited and whose needs regarding the authority will be evaluated and are resolved accordingly.

In the coming weeks, they will be visited other companies, including “Brady Mexico” which is headed by Luis Manuel Hernandez, and “SMK Electronics” by Federico Bañuelos Serrano, national president of INDEX.
